Lookie what I got!
I was super lucky to get my hands on a whole bunch of the yet to be released Far Far Away III Heather Ross fabric! The photos I'm posting today were taken with my iPhone but I will take better, more detailed photos over the weekend and add them soon. I won't be selling these but have more than enough for myself and I want to get some samples in the mail this week to my fabric friends. There are a few ways for me to send you some.
#1 Comment here. I will send samples of both weights to the first 3 people to comment. Then I'll draw 3 more people from the remaining comments on Wednesday 5/11 to send more samples too. Be sure to tell me your favorite print in your comment so I can send it to you if you win!
#2 Swap with me on Flickr. I have an ISO list in my profile. For all my swaps this week (including the ones I already have pending) I will send you some samples in addition to our even swap.
#3 Buy something from my Etsy shop. Every purchase between yesterday 5/5 and Monday 5/9 (hadn't to shorten time as I'm running low) will come with some samples of these new Heather Ross fabrics.
Now for a brief review. The lighter weight is my favorite! It's nice and thin with wonderful drape. The thicker weight is comparable to Rabbits & Racecars but not exactly the same feel. It is less scratchy than FFA2. Upon first look, the girls with horses in the yellow colorway appear to have gray hair. The closer I look at it there is a little warmth to the "gray" giving it a somewhat sandy look. That's how I see it, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. I'll get some close up photos asap.

ReplyDeleteOooh, how lucky for those first three ladies! I'm thrilled you got some, too. And you're always so good about the fabric karma! I'm pawing at the dandelions on my monitor (unlike the real-life dandelions that will soon grow in my yard.) Thanks, Kori!
ReplyDeleteThose look lovely and thank you for the review. I have been on the fence as to ordering as the feel of FFA 2 was not my favorite.

ReplyDeletenice haul!!! i was contemplating buying that bundle too but ultimately decided not to, lol! can't wait to see what you'll make with these lovelies! i love the laundry line print and guitars. thanks for paying forward the fabric karma!
ReplyDeleteThey look so wonderful! What a lucky buy :D I'm split on this range, but I think the girls with horses would look fabu with West Hill while the other fairytale inspired prints would look spiffy with the other lines (FFA 1&2 + Mendocino). I think my favorite print(s) so far is the pink Snow White or the peach girls with horses.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your generosity Kori!
ReplyDeleteI adore the Sleeping Beauty on yellow.

ReplyDeleteKori, you are too sweet to share your fun new fabrics! And I'm so glad that you decided to get them because you are such a guru of fabric and I can trust you to make all the right comparisons.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that the lighter weight is so lovely! Picking a favorite is a bit of a Sophie's Choice, isn't it? I don't know how I'm going to avoid a major fabric freak out when they become widely available!
ReplyDeleteI just love the Snow White prints. All the colors are so pretty. Fun, fun fabrics. Thanks for giving us a look. No wait.....I just looked again and think I like the laundry line fabrics the most. Uggg difficult to choose. All are so cute.
